Words & Decks

How do I add words?

1. On the home screen, tap a list under Word lists, or tap New list.
2. Tap Add words, then Type or paste. Separate words with commas or put one per line.
3. Check the words on the review screen and tap Add. Words already in the list are skipped automatically.

The free plan includes 10 of your own words plus the free Kindergarten list from the library.

What's in the word library?

Tap Word library on the home screen for ready-made lists: sight words by grade (Dolch), lists published by schools and states, and themes like colors and numbers. Pick a list, choose who practices it, and tap Add.

Can I make two-sided cards?

Yes. When you create a list, choose Question & answer. It works well for math facts ("3 + 4" / "7") or another language ("cat" / "gato"). Tap the card to flip it.

How does practice work?

Tap Practice under your child's name. Show them the card: tap the green ✓ if they read it, or the red ✗ if not yet (you can also swipe). Flipbee brings tricky words back sooner and mixes in words they know.

What do the definitions say?

Tap the small ? on a card to see a short, kid-friendly definition and an example sentence, which can be read aloud. Definitions match your child's grade, which you can change by tapping Edit on their page.

Scanning

How do I scan a word list or worksheet?

1. Open a list and tap Add words.
2. Tap Scan with camera to use the camera, or Photo or PDF to pick up to 6 photos or a file.
3. Flipbee finds the words and skips things like names, dates and directions. Review the list, tap any word to leave it out, and tap Add.

Scanning missed words or found nothing

• Lay the page flat in good light and fill the frame with the list.
• Avoid shadows, glare and blurry photos.
• Handwritten lists work best when the writing is neat and large.
• You can always add or fix words by hand after scanning.

Do you keep my photos?

No. Photos and PDFs are used only to make your cards and are not stored. See the Flipbee Privacy Policy for details.

Family

How do I invite family members?

1. Tap the gear on the home screen to open Settings, then tap Invite family.
2. Send the invite by Messages, Mail or a link.
3. When they open the link, Flipbee shows the same kids, lists and progress on their device.

Sharing uses iCloud, so everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud. You can remove someone at any time from the same screen.

My family's changes aren't showing up

Make sure each device is online and signed in to iCloud. Changes usually appear within a minute. Pulling down on the home screen syncs right away.

Subscription

What does Flipbee Family include?

Unlimited words and lists, the whole word library, scanning photos and PDFs, and AI clean-up of pasted lists. It's $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. One subscription covers everyone you invite to your Flipbee family, and also your Apple Family Sharing group.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in Flipbee and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Flipbee, open Settings and tap Manage subscription, or on your iPhone or iPad open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your data

Flipbee has no accounts. Your kids, lists and progress live in your own iCloud, so you can delete them in the app or remove Flipbee's data from iCloud in your device settings.
